ASSA's International Programs grant schemes
Academy of the Social Sciences in Australia

Applications for the Academy of the Social Sciences in Australia's France, China and The Netherlands International Programs are now open.

Grants bestowed under these 3 schemes are for:

  • Exchanges/research projects to be conducted in 2011, and
  • Incorporate a component of international, face-to-face research collaboration

These three grants schemes bestow modest grants for research exchanges (The Netherlands) or short, internationally collaborative research projects involving face-to-face collaboration with a research partner (China; France). Grants of between $3,000 and $7,500, depending on the scheme, are designed to offset the costs associated with face-to-face collaborations with international partners in these countries.

ASSA welcomes applications for its Joint-action Programs and Exchanges which incorporate multi-, cross- and trans-disciplinary approaches. ASSA encourages applications for its International Grants Schemes from senior researchers - such as Fellows of the Academy - which incorporate Early Career Researchers (<8yrs post-PhD).

Applications are due in by no later than the close of business, Friday 8th October 2010.

For further information please contact the International Program Manager at the ASSA Secretariat on (02) 6249 1788 or visit the ASSA website.
