2007 Delivering Outcomes

Symposium for directors of university-based centres

Monday and Tuesday, 3 - 4 September 2007, RMIT

Aims of the event

Delivering Outcomes focuses on the challenges facing the Directors of university-based centre of research and education. It will enable these senior people to share information and identify solutions to the pressing issues they face. It has a strongly practical focus.

Through a combination of case studies, plenary sessions and master classes, the event will allow directors to explore ways of describing and delivering benefits in a new age of accountability under the RQF.

As well as master classes on topics such as "Attracting and retaining the best", "Attracting external investment" and "Engaging external expertise", the event will examine a new study which sets out the benefits the university system delivers to a community.

And it will hear a report on the latest developments in the RQF, both from DEST and some of the people recently appointed to chair RQF Panels.

Our event offers a unique opportunity to network for people in the humanities, arts and social sciences. It is the only time when directors of university-based centres for research and education can discuss common concerns and develop important links with colleagues at a national level.
