Researching your Parliamentarian: preparing for the meeting

The name of the Parliamentarian you are meeting will be sent to you about 10 days before the event. It's important to know something about this person before the meeting starts.

The easiest way to find out is to look them up on the Parliament House web site: more specifically, - members of the House of Representatives and Senators.

The entry for each Parliamentarian contains a photo, a brief biography, a list of committee memberships, and the text of their first speech after election. It will have details of the electorates of Members of the House.

If you wanted to find out what they have being saying in Parliament, you can search Parliamentary records for their speeches and any documents. Start at the Parl Info site.
