The Australasian Consortium of Humanities Research Centres (ACHRC) 2017 Humanities in the Regions Symposium at the University of New England will focus on the dissemination of practical information about research success in the Humanities and Creative Arts. This two-day event combines presentations on practical aspects of working on Humanities-projects from the regions, expertise in collaboration and grant writing partnerships, and workshops aimed at generating research outcomes. Keynotes: Professor Melanie Oppenheimer, Flinders University, ARC College of Experts, and Professor Keir Reeves, Federation University, Foundation Director, Collaborative Research Centre in Australian History. The University of Western Australia is pleased to host the 2017 Australian Sociological Association Conference ‘Belonging in a Mobile World’. The mobilities turn in sociology has generated questions about different modes of belonging in a world characterised by global flows and precarities. These questions will form the basis for conference discussions around belonging in a mobile world. Submissions close 1 June.
