Australian Eastern Daylight Time (AEDT) covers New South Wales (with the exception of the town of Broken Hill), Victoria, Tasmania and the Australian Capital Territory.
At the specified time, Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST) will be 1.30 pm – covers Queensland
At the specified time, Australian Central Daylight Time (ACDT) will be 2:00 pm - covers the state of South Australia and the town of Broken Hill in western New South Wales.
At the specified time, Australian Central Standard Time (ACST) will be 1:00 pm – covers the Northern Territory.
At the specified time, Australian Western Standard Time (AWST) will be 11:30 am - covers Western Australia.
Daylight saving is not observed in Queensland, the Northern Territory or Western Australia.

You are hereby notified that the Council for the Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences (CHASS) 2012 AGM will be held on Friday, 23 November at Boardroom, Level 11, Monash Conference Centre, 30 Collins Street, Melbourne.
All Members of CHASS are invited to attend the AGM. Participants are requested to arrive at 2 pm to register and the AGM will formally begin at 2:30 pm. At the conclusion of the AGM at 4 pm, all members and friends are invited to stay for Networking Drinks (same venue).
The agenda for the meeting includes the following items:
- Confirmation of the minutes of the preceding AGM 2011.
- Report from the CHASS President on activities of the Council during the preceding financial year.
- Statement of accounts and auditors report.
- Candidates for the Board 2012-13.
- Election of new members to the Board for 2012-13.
Nomination of a candidate for election to the Board of CHASS
All nominations for candidates of the CHASS Board must be submitted to the CHASS Secretariat no later than 5 pm, Friday 9 November 2012.
Voting rights, registration and proxies
CHASS would like to encourage all member organisations that are sending a delegate or voting by proxy to the AGM this year to complete either (1) a Form of appointment of delegate or (2) a Form of appointment of proxy. These forms will enable your delegate or proxy to vote at the CHASS AGM on behalf of your organisation.
Please advise the CHASS office of your intention to participate in the AGM by completing and returning the Form of appointment of delegate. Members unable to attend but would like to nominate a proxy are requested to complete and return the Form of appointment of proxy. Observers are also welcome and are asked to advise the Secretariat by filling in the first section (Delegate Information) of the Form of appointment of delegate.
Please submit the Form of appointment of delegate or the Form of appointment of proxy no later than 5 pm, Friday 9 November 2012.
