Constitutional amendments

The following amendments to Section 11 of the CHASS Constitution will be put to the AGM for ratification. The amendments are indicated in red text (and italics) below.

From the CHASS Constitution (Section 11)

11. Election of Board

  1. Nominations
    Nominations of candidates for election as Board members of CHASS shall be:
    1. made in writing, in the form laid out in Appendix 3, signed by authorised signatories of one (1) Member Organisation of CHASS and accompanied by the written consent of the candidate (which may be endorsed on the nomination form)
    2. delivered to the CHASS office seven days before the commencement of the Council meeting at which the election is to take place.
    Nominations of candidates for election as President shall be made on the same form in the same manner.
  2. Conduct of the ballot
    The ballots for the election of the President and the Board members shall be conducted at the Annual General Meeting of Council at such time and in such manner as the Board may direct.
  3. Conduct of the election of the Executive
    The election of the vice-president, secretary and treasurer shall be conducted at the first meeting of the new Board in such manner as the Board sees fit.
